全体的におとなしめな音で、方向性もやや中途半端な印象があるが、ゲイトのライブでの定番となっている"River's Invitation"や、時事ネタで時代が判る"Please Mr. Nixon"など興味深い曲も入っていて、聴いて損はない。インフレを嘆いている"Dollar's Got The Blues"もこんなノリノリなナンバーにしてしまうところがゲイトらしいところ。尚、タイトル曲と"Dollar's Got The Blues"、Maison De Blues盤のボーナス・トラック2曲はキャンド・ヒートがバックを務めている。Verve盤、日本盤とMaison De Blues盤は、皆曲数は同じだが、ボーナス・トラックに違う曲が入っているので要注意。CD化に際して追加された曲は、"Jelly, Jelly", "Never Ending Love For You", "Louisiana Breakdown", "Traveling Mood", "Three Weeks And A Suitcase (Slow Funk")の5曲だ。

元々"The Drifter Rides Again"というタイトルで1973年にリリースされたLPに、翌74年、キャンドヒートとの共演曲を加えて出し直されたもの。
