1966年に全米13のテレビ局で放映されたブラック・ミュージック版エド・サリバン・ショーとでも言うべき番組「The!!!! Beat」の映像。この番組で、ゲイトはゲイトマウス・ブラウン＆ザ・ビート・ボーイズ名義でハウス・バンドのギタリストを務めている。1966年5月〜8月までの間にダラスで計26回の番組が収録された。

長らくフレディ・キング出演部分以外はビデオ化されていなかったが、2005年になって、ようやく全編がDVD化されることになった。これは、その第一編。最初の5回のショーが収められている。

20回放送分以降はメンバーから抜けているが19回までは、基本的にゲイトはハウス・バンドということで、自分の曲以外のところでも、全編に渡って出演している。（一部出演者自身のバンドによる演奏や、バンドなしの口パクものもあり）サポート・メンバーという地味な役回りながら、実は結構彼をフィーチャーしている部分があるので、ゲイト・ファンは要注目だ。そもそも、これだけの錚々たるブラック・ミュージックのアーティスト達と彼が共演しているということだけで、すごいではありませんか。
